Typophilia
Typography Festival
Typography Festival
Brand Identity, Print Design, Poster Design, Typography
Typophilia is a branding project based on a typography festival devoted to type, typography, calligraphy, lettering, motion-design and interactive design. The festival looks into typography in contemporary times and explores relationships between letter, word and language.
The identity, consisting of repetitive lines in the typefaces channeling illusion and vibrant, vivid patterns, embraces the effect of over-obsession with type. The idea of ‘typophilia’ relates to repetitive and psychedelic patterns caused by an addiction to typography. By using rhythm, movement and repetition as the key design principles, the visual identity reflects the combination of optical illusion and motions for Typophilia.
Completed April 2018
